It’s hard to believe it’s already March 1st! And it is the halfway point in our cruise.
When Doug asked me this morning what I had planned for today, and I responded: “bridge and book club”, he replied, “It sounds like you could be in Sarasota!” I guess he’s right, but somehow playing bridge looking out at the Indian Ocean is a whole other world of bridge!
Days at sea tend to become a bit routine when you have stuff you do over and over again. But I enjoy what I do, so for me it’s fun.
Doug spent most of the day resting and trying to get better for our port tomorrow. But he managed to rally for dinner with our group – and all 8 were there tonight – so it was actually kind of fun to catch up with those we hadn’t seen in a day or two.
After dinner, I was so far behind on my Blog that I spent the whole evening catching up. Skipped the movie and show. It was better for Doug to rest anyway. We have an 8 hour excursion tomorrow in Reunion – an island we had never heard of until this trip. It’s just east of Madagascar. Wish we were going there instead!
By the way, I’m also behind on my e-mails, but I read them tonight at least. Many of you have commented on the earthquake in Chile and the subsequent tsunami on Robinson Crusoe Island. Thank you for your updates and comments. We did get some CNN news about it, but not enough. So, your comments and info really helped. And it makes me feel kinda good that you are actually reading this to know where we were and to share the same concern we did. Thanks.
Doug’s asleep, and I need to join him so I’m ready for tomorrow as well. We’re going to see an active volcano – maybe there will be some action there!
