3-17 Day 71 St. Patrick’s Day at sea

It seemed like a good idea to celebrate the day in green!  Everything on the ship was green today!  (well, almost everything!)

No bridge this morning, so we decided to sleep in and not set an alarm.  It felt so good.  In fact, it was a pretty lazy day.  We also were not hungry at all, so we had a very light breakfast and snack lunch.  I did play bridge with my regular table for a couple of hours in the afternoon.  The rest of the day I caught up (FINALLY!) on my Blog.  With so many ports coming so fast now, I’ll have to really do them at the end of each day instead of waiting for a sea day.

Our friends, Craig and Diane, had asked us to join them tonight at their table for dinner.  So we celebrated formal night with them – and all the Irish food and fun.

We had some of the Irish dishes – but I mainly enjoyed my corn beef, boiled potatoes and cabbage.  Doug and I splurged and each had cherries jubilee for dessert.  We ended up talking so much again that we were the last guests in the dining room, and they had to basically ask us to leave so they could set up for the 2nd seating.  We obviously enjoy our time with this couple!

After dinner, we went to the show together.  It was the Opera Interludes again, and they were just as good as they were the first time we saw them.

We then took Diane and Craig down to meet the security officer Doug has become friends with so they could look through the night vision binoculars.  They loved it.

And now back in the room getting ready for Malaysia tomorrow.  We are excited about learning more about this culture.
