Happy Easter! We were greeted with Easter colors and decorations in all the dining areas today.
I had my hair cut and colored early this morning. Then bridge. So far, like any other day. The ship had an Easter egg hunt and an egg lawn rolling in the morning – we have a few younger children on the ship for this part of the cruise. They also had special Easter services, including a sunrise service.
Doug and I didn’t want to go to any of the lectures, so we opted just to go to the special Easter brunch.
Easter bunnies greeted us and tried to give their carrot to the dining staff! This ship does it all!
It was really good and there were chocolate eggs and chocolate bunnies all around. They even had dyed Easter eggs.
As seen from where we sat, tables filled with wonderful food and great decorations.
It reminded us of ones we had been to with our families, so I got a little sad not being with family today.
Spent a relaxing afternoon reading and working on the computer. Then went to the book club meeting. The discussion was just OK – not like the good ones at home! But it is different on a cruise. We don’t just meet after everyone has read the book – we meet in small groups (depending on where you are in the book) and discuss what we’ve read.
Tonight was formal night. So, a great dinner with escargot, lobster tail, and bananas foster. After that we decided to skip the show and just come back and watch CNN and read.
